Next to that being the new plus model, it also comes with support for the latest processor series including Core i7, the upcoming Core i5 and of course Phenom II socket AM2/AM3 processors. Again we spot DHT as in Direct contact heat-pipes, dual fan cooling options and new PWM fans are now included into this cooler design.Īll in all this cooler will be positioned at the mid-range segment, offering very decent and inaudible cooling at a fair price. The updated Hyper 212 is now called the Hyper 212 Plus and it will be Cooler Masters first of many LGA1156 and LGA1156/1366 compatible coolers to come. it's actually the Hyper 212 cooler we reviewed a long time ago that is being updated, overhauled one could say. Today another new cooler sees the light, Well new. Check out our review on that, as I'm still a little shocked how good the cooler is for merely 15 EUR. Targeted at the budget market with decent and silent cooling for a nice price. Recently they release their budget conscious Hyper TX3 cooler. As such their cooler line-up received a nice overhaul as well. Let us see what Cooler Master has to say about themselves on their website:īuilding a PC is a highly personalized journey. There is just something about all that shiny aluminum contrasted with polished copper that really makes me miss air coolers. But there is something I do really miss about air coolers. If you can save a few bucks on cooling, why not? I have been on an AIO for a long time and really don’t see going back to an air cooler anytime soon. These coolers are exactly what you would want if you are looking for decent cooling capabilities that won’t break the bank. I will tell you, these fans do a good job of moving air. I have reviewed several of these fans in the past, just the fans and when they were installed on coolers. Another thing that is better, are the SickleFlow fans. The new system seems to be very straight forward. The old system looked like it could have been somewhat challenging compared to the new brackets. One thing I noticed was how much easier the V2 will be to install. So the fact that this is a newer version, must mean its better, right? I would like to be able to directly compare the two but I will have to rely on what I can see with my eyes and comparing the specs. It was widely know for great cooling at a decent price. I heard a lot of great thing about that cooler though. I never had the chance to ever use the OG Hyper 212 EVO.
